The Betting Areas on the Craps Table

A regular craps table has the same size as that of a billiards table and its designed is suited to accommodate from 12 to 24 craps players. Both sides of the craps table are identical and the center area where the Proposition bets are situated separated them.

Craps players on both sides of the craps table can place their bets and the craps dealer closer to them will the one who handles their bets. The craps table has a rail that borders the playing area and where the players can place their chips.

Both sides of the craps table allows players to bet on the various betting options in craps like Pass and Don't Pass bets, Come and Don't Come bets, Field bets, Big Six and Big Eight bets. And there are also other areas on the craps table where players can make Place bets on the following numbers: four, five, six, eight, nine, and ten.

The following betting areas are found on the craps table layout:

a) The Pass Line - It is situated around the outside parts of the craps table betting areas and this is the most common betting option for many craps players.

b) The Don't Pass Line - It is situated directly behind where the Pass Line is and occupies a smaller space on the craps table. This betting area also has an extra box labeled "barring the 12".

c) The Come Box - It is located on the upper portion of the craps table on the middle section of both sides.

d) The Don't Come Box - It is labeled as DC and it is a small box located at the top portion of the craps table close to the outer corner of both sides.

e) The Field - It is located on the forward area on the middle section on both sides of the craps table. It is situated directly in front where the Come Box is.

f) The Place Bets - These are the numbers seen behind the Come Box on the craps table.

g) The Big Six and Big Eight - It is located in the left corner portion of both sides of the craps table.

h) The Proposition Bets - This betting area is situated on the center portion of the craps table in between the two sides of the table. This area contains the following betting options: Any Seven, Any Craps, Two or 12, Three or 11, Horn Bet, Hard Four, Hard Six, Hard Eight, and Hard Ten.

These are all the betting areas on the craps table and the casino employees that supervise each craps game are two dealers, one boxman, and one stickman.

Once you become familiar with the craps table layout, it will not be confusing at all as oppose to what you think at first.
